Olivia H. Carrillo

    Olivia H. Carrillo was born on July 16, 1950 and went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the age of 68.  
    She is preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio and Julia Hernandez; and brothers, Macario Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez and Teodoro Hernandez.
    She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Juan F. Carrillo; daughter, Perla Carrillo Garnica and husband, Andrew; son, Abraham Carrillo; brothers, Gilbert Hernandez, Ruben Hernandez and wife, Geneva, Abel Hernandez and wife, Sylvia; sisters, Carmen Robles and husband, Santiago, and Rosalia Olivo; grandchildren, Noah Garnica and Logan Garnica; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
    Olivia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She worked for the City of San Antonio for 25 years. Her greatest joy was singing to the Lord as well as playing the piano and the bass. In her younger years she traveled to different churches to minister to people through her singing. Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed.    
    Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., with a prayer service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Templo Bethesda (8311 South Zarzamora, San Antonio, TX 78224).  
    The family will honor her wish for cremation.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer treatment research center or to St. Jude children’s hospital.
