Funeral mass for Odilia Salazar Luna, 82, of Lamesa will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chako Thadathil officiating.
Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Rosary will be held Monday, September 7, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
Odilia passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Lamesa, Texas. She was reunited with her loving husband, Antonio H. Luna, of 47 years.
She was born August 10, 1938 in Brownsville, Texas to Cresenio and Fidela (Garcia) Salazar. She retired as a teacher’s aide for Lamesa I.S.D. after 34 years. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church for many years.
Odilia is survived by her children, Maria Alicia Casillas, Antonio Luna Jr. and Maria Elena Florez all of Lamesa; sisters, Ofelia Gonzales of Lubbock and Martina Guerra of Piqua, Ohio; and brother, Jesus Salazar of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Rosa Maria Luna; brothers, Pedro Salazar, Alejo Salazar, Richard Salazar, Erasmo Salazar; and sister, Lupe Ramirez.
