Norma Lee (Longoria) Saldivar of Van, TX, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2024. A memorial service to honor her life were held on June 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Longoria Ranch, 910 CR 18 PL, Lamesa, TX.
Born on January 30, 1962, in Edcough, TX, to Manuel and Eva (Meza) Longoria, Lee’s life was a testament to resilience and redemption. As a single mother, she de fied the odds, putting herself through college and gradu ating from Abilene Chris tian University and Christ for the Nations in Dallas,TX. She pursued her passions while raising her daughter, exploring the realms of flight as a pilot, capturing moments of beauty through photography, expressing her innermost thoughts and emotions through painting, and seeking truth and mean ing as a philosopher and theologian.
Devoted to her Christian beliefs, Lee lived her life in service to the Lord, finding meaning and purpose in acts of kindness and compassion toward others. Her faith was not just a guiding principle but a source of comfort and hope, sustaining her through life’s trials and tribulations.
Though she may have departed from this earthly realm, her legacy of cour age, love, and faith will forever endure. May her spirit continue to inspire all who knew her, reminding us of the power of love, forgive ness, and unwavering faith in the face of life’s greatest challenges.
Lee is preceded in death by her father, Manuel Longoria; brother, Robert Rosales; and sister, Leticia Longoria. She is survived by her daughter, Ariel Saldivar and partner, Jason Gudasz, of Los Angeles; her mother, Eva Longoria, of Lamesa; sisters, Eva Lee (Willie) Ledesma of Raymondville, TX, and Sandra Longoria of Lamesa, Maria Bindrich of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, Manuel (Julie) Longoria of Abilene, TX, Joe Ed Longoria (Kathy Ramsey) of Lubbock, TX, Joe Abel Rosales of Plain view, TX, Ramiro (Linda) Rosales of O’Donnell, TX, and Raul (Ruby) Rosales of Windcrest, TX.
