Naomi Presley

    Naomi Presley passed through the veil on August 14, 2024, after a long, brave battle with colon cancer. 
    She was a beloved wife and eternal companion, mother, daughter, sister, friend, mentor, and teacher.     
    She was 46 years old.
    Naomi was born to Ralph and Bonnie Sharp in Wichita, Kansas, on February 7, 1978, but was raised in Utah. She graduated from Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah, followed by earning her bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University.
    Naomi moved to Texas after marrying Randall Presley in 2003. Together they had six children.
    After staying home with her kids for many years, she became a teacher at Dawson ISD, Lamesa High School, and finally Seagraves High School. 
    She also earned a Master’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in history from Sul Ross State University and taught at Howard College in Lamesa, Texas.     
    She enjoyed spending time and playing games with her family, cross stitching, and watching murder mysteries.
    Naomi is survived by her husband Randall and her children: Corban Buttars of Orlando, FL, Abigail Presley of Cedar City, UT, Hannah Presley, Thaddeus Presley, Andrew Presley, and Miriam Presley of Lamesa, TX; her parents Ralph and Bonnie Sharp of Herriman, UT; her mother-in-law  Karen Presley of Lamesa, TX; plus four siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
    A memorial service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Seminole, TX on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 3 pm with a root beer float social to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider making a generous donation to the charity or scholarship fund of your choice.
