Mollie Davis Hill
Funeral service for Mollie Davis Hill, 92, of Lamesa will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Second Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
Mollie passed away Friday, January 10, 2025 in Lamesa, Texas surrounded by her family. She married R.E. Hill on February 17, 1951, in Dawson County. They were married for 70 years. She worked as a wife, mother, homemaker, farmer, Klondike cafeteria supervisor.
She enjoyed sewing for all her family and crocheting.
Mollie is survived by her children, Gene Hill and wife Sue Decoto of Yakima, Washington, Cindy Hill and husband Danny Simpson of Lubbock, Texas, Susan Vandivere of Lamesa and Nick Hill and wife Maribel of Austin, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren;
numerous nieces and nephews.
Mollie was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Annie Davis; husband, R.E. Hill; son in law, Doyce Vandivere; and siblings, Wayne Davis, Alfred Davis, Myrtle Jeffcoat and Billie Ruth James.
