Mary T. Martinez

    Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mary T. Martinez, age 67, of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Agape Ministry church in Lamesa with Pastors, Manuel and Irene Salazar officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, February 26, 2023, with Inspirational Services starting at 7:00 p.m. on both nights at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Mary passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Medical Arts Hospital in Lamesa, TX. 
    She was born March 26, 1955, in Tokio, TX.
    Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo Martinez and Pasquala Hernandez; son, Matthew Lee Martinez; brothers, John Martinez and Alfredo Martinez.
    Mary enjoyed spending time with family and raising her precious grandchildren. She spent most of her time managing at the Lamesa Motel. Mary also enjoyed attending church services at Agape Ministry. She was always the life of the party.
    Mary is survived by her daughter, Connie Martinez of Lamesa; her grandsons, Donovan Vasquez, and Eric Cruz, both of Lamesa, TX.; her grand-daughter, Skylar Vasquez of Abilene, TX.; her brother, Bonnie Martinez of Lamesa, TX.; her sisters, Barbara Sandoval of Lamesa, TX., Gloria Gomez and husband, Jesse Gomez of Lamesa, TX., Yvonne Alvarado and husband, Richard Alvarado of Abilene, TX., Connie Garza and husband, George Garza of Lamesa, TX., Olga Zapata and husband, Israel Zapata of Roma, TX.; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
