Mary Robles

    Funeral services for Mary Martinez Robles of San Antonio, Texas and formerly of Welch, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at The Lighthouse/CWJC Community Center in Lamesa with Pastor Rachel Hernandez officiating. 
    Interment will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing and family visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Lighthouse/CWJC Community Center.
    Mary passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 18, 1945 in Welch, Texas. Mary married John Robles Jr. on August 16, 1972 in Tahoka, Texas. 
    Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John Robles Jr.; her father, E.F. Martinez, and her mother, Santa Anna Martinez; and her nine brothers and sisters.
    Mary enjoyed singing, playing the piano, cooking, crafting, needle work, and going to church. Mary was a housekeeper for many years. 
    Mary is survived by her son, Roy Robles of San Antonio, Texas; her daughters, Ida Cortez of Odessa, Texas, Laura Robles of San Antonio, Texas and Sally Robles of Dallas, Texas; her brothers, Jose Martinez of Lamesa, Texas and Simon Martinez of Welch, Texas; her sisters, Estella Saenz of Brownfield, Texas and Rosa Norman of Shreveport, Lousiana; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
