    Catholic graveside funeral services for Maria Casarez Mendoza age 75 of Lamesa , TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Dawson County Cemetery with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to the  Covid-19 area situation, and for the safety of the family and our community, face mask is required and the funeral home and cemetery.
    Viewing and visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel. 
    Maria passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Lamesa, TX. 
    She was born on the date of September 15, 1945 in Pana Maria,TX.  Maria was married to Domingo Mendoza. 
    Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Otilia Casarez; her immediate family members, Lucy Garcia, Marcos Casarez, Fabian Casarez, Joe Casarez, Lupe Casarez, Antonio Casarez, Fred Acosta, and Philip Acosta.
    Maria loved to sew, cook for her family, work crossword puzzles, gardening, and attending her church.
    Maria is survived by her husband, Domingo Mendoza of Lamesa, TX.; her son, Juan Mendoza of Arlington, TX., Freddy Mendoza, and Bobby Mendoza, both of Lamesa, TX.; her daughter, Cynthia Mendoza of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Dan Casarez of Austin, TX.; her sisters, Lenora Lopez of Lamesa, TX., Becky Barron of San Angelo, TX., Diana Aleman, and Rosa Aleman, both of Taylor, TX.; 10 grandchildren, and 2 greatgrandchildren; several relatives and friends.
