Linda Scott

    A memorial service for Linda Scott will be held at a later date as the family focuses on caring for her sister and son who are ill at this time. 
    In lieu of visitation, the family requests those wanting to send condolences to come and sign a card in the lobby at Branon Funeral Home of her memory and impact she has left behind.
    Linda (Middleton) Scott, 82, passed away in Lubbock, Texas on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. 
    She was born November 29, 1937 in Lamesa, Texas to parents Flavell and Clarence Middleton. The family lived in Lamesa where Linda grew up and settled for the remainder of her years. She was employed at the City of Lamesa in the mid 60s, became the director of finance and retired there in 2006. She took a few weeks break then began her employment with Caprock Federal Credit Union where she worked for the last 14 years, transitioning from receptionist to loan officer quickly. She was a very hardworking and dedicated employee. She loved working with people daily and helping in all ways possible. She always had a smile to offer and loved to laugh. She loved the Lord, her kids, grandkids, and family. Spending her time with them was her favorite things to do.
    She is survived by her daughter Denise Davis and husband, Kirk of Welch, Tx; son Michael (Scott) Bailey of Lamesa, Tx; grandson Jacob Bailey and wife, Tonya of Homer, AK; Patrick Bailey and wife, Amanda of Roundrock, Tx; granddaughter Paige Lewallan and husband, Matt of Burnet, Tx; granddaughter Morgan Johnson and husband, Chase of Eastland, Tx; grandson Hayden Davis and wife, Sara of Welch, Tx; grandson Lucas Bailey of Burnet, Tx; and great grandchildren Grayson, Colton, Hannah, Case, Haylen, Blake, and Payton; brother Blaine Middleton of Lamesa, Tx; sister Sheryl Schroeder and husband, Bobby of Lamesa, Tx; sister Marsha (Sissy) Graves of Stanton, Tx.
    She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her son, Kent Bailey in 1997; grandson Taylor Grant Davis in 2017, and sister Sue Vaughn in 2020.
    The family would like to express their most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all the wonderful people who loved Linda and continue to love on her family during this difficult time.
