Laura Moore

    Graveside services for Laura Loretta Moore, 78, of Odessa and formerly of Lamesa will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  
    Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. until service time, at Branon Funeral Home.  
    Laura passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 in Odessa. She was born December 31, 1939 in Lamesa to Margaret (Pruitt) Zimmerman and Marvin Zimmerman.  
    She married Carroll D. Moore on November 22, 1954. He preceded her in death on September 26, 2015. They were married 60 years. 
    Laura was an incredibly intelligent woman. She worked as an administrator in healthcare in Kerrville, as an office manager at Midland Women’s Clinic, and an assistant tax assessor in Dawson County. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Many people depended on her and she was lovingly nicknamed “The Little General.”      
    Laura is survived by her daughter, Lana Moore of Anson; son, David Moore of Odessa and wife, Kimberlee Moore; sister, Etna Goode of Brownwood; brother, James Zimmerman and wife, Earnestine, of Odessa; grandsons, Seth Moore of Odessa, and Dustin Moore and wife, Rebecca, of Kailua, Hawaii; and great-grandchildren, Jade Moore of Weatherford, and Karson Moore of Odessa. 
    Laura is also preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Jonathon Moore.  
    The family suggests memorials to a Hospice of your choice.
