Lance Gilliam

    Lance Gilliam, 52, of Abilene, Tx. passed away February 2, 2024. He was born in Lamesa, Tx. to Ben Gilliam and Kay Gilliam(Isaacs). He was a fun loving and happy-go-lucky person who truly enjoyed life. In his later years was taken care of by his mom Kay and sister Kristy both of Abilene.
    Lance is survived by his mother, Kay Gilliam and step father, Robert Ybarra both if Abilene, Tx.; sister, Kristy Williams and husband, Jimmy of Abilene, Tx.; niece, Kristal Barber Waters and husband , Dakota and their daughter, Kristina all of Abilene Tx., niece Amber Barber of San Angelo, Tx.; great nieces, Kayleigh and Paislee and great nephew, Karsen; uncle, Ervin Gilliam of Lubbock, Tx.; and many cousins and friends. Lance was preceded in death by his father, Ben Gilliam of Lubbock, Tx. and his son, Christopher Gilliam of Stinnett, Tx.
    Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Dawson County Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. with Junior Follis of O’Donnell officiating.
    Pallbearers are Brad Williams, Author Morado, Arron Furlow, David Eaker, Torey Snow, and Bryson Brownlow. Honorary pallbearers: Dakota Waters and Leon Walker of Abilene, Tx.
    The family deeply appreciates all prayers and condolences at this time of loss. Lance will be deeply miss by all that knew and loved him.
