Kimberly Smith

    Funeral services for Kimberly Diane Smith, 55, of Lamesa, will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Medley officiating.  
    Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  
    Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. 
    Kim passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in Lubbock. She was born on September 20, 1963 in Lamesa to Connie (Nolen) and Wayne Smith. 
    She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. She worked at Heritage Nursing Center on North 15th Street for 10 years. She was a member at First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and provided child care.  Her favorite way to pass her time was walking and talking to people in the community.  
    Kim is survived by her parents, Connie and Wayne Smith of Lamesa; sister, Jennifer Pyle and husband, Brady, of Houston; niece, Katy Pyle of Dallas; and nephews, Cody Pyle and Tanner Pyle, both of Houston.  
    She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arther and Calous Nolen, and Wayne and Gerry Smith; and several cherished aunts and uncles.  
    The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church, 801 South 1st Street, Lamesa, TX 79331; or a charity of your choice.
