Kathy Lingar

    Services are pending for Kathy Evelyn Lingar, age 60, of Lamesa.
    Lingar passed away Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020 at Knox City, TX.
    She was born Sept. 14, 1960 in Lamesa.  She married Jimmy Lingar on Feb. 19, 1982 in Crowell.  
    Kathy was involved in the First Church of the Nazarene.  She loved helping her family or anyone in need.  She also loved supporting the Lamesa Volunteer Fire Department, of which her son is a member.  She was passionate about her quilting and butterflies.  She had a special bond with her great-nephews and great-nieces, who knew her as Saffy.
    Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lingar; a son, Mark Lingar; her mother, Ida Hinkle; a brother, Grady Hinkle and wife Rita; a sister, Betty Allen and husband Kenneth; and a number of nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her father, Laurence Hinkle.
    Donations to assist the family with expenses are being accepted at First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 708, Lamesa, TX 79331 and at State National Bank in Lamesa.
    In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Lamesa Volunteer Fire Department.
