Juanita Lemon

    A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Juanita Lemon, age 95, of Lamesa, TX, at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery.
    Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. 
    Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service on Thursday staring at 7:00 p.m.
    Juanita passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 in Lamesa, TX. 
    She was born July 13, 1926 in Alice, TX. Juanita married Daniel Lemon on September 4, 1942 in Alice, TX.
    She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lemon; her son, Frank Lemon; her parents, Faustino and Carolina Cruz; her grandson, Joe Daniel (JD) Longoria; her granddaughters, Melissa Ane Jasso, and Leigh Ann Jasso. 
    Juanita was a homemaker. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, yard work, and spending time with her family.
    Juanita is survived by her children, her sons, Dan Lemon of Duncanville, TX., Domingo (Sonny) Lemon of Lamesa, TX., David Limon and daughter-in-law, Delia Limon of Plano, IL., and Ruben Lemon and daughter-in-law, Dolores Lemon of Whiteface, TX.; her daughters, Linda Perez, Sylvia Lemon, and Christina Luna and son-in-law Martin Luna, all of Lamesa, TX.; her sister, Nancy Garcia of San Diego, TX.; 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
