Juan Molina IV

    A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Juan (Johnny) Molina IV, age 55, of Lamesa at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. 
    Burial will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    A Rosary prayer service was to be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, and Sunday, March 24, at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Johnny passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in Lamesa. He was born on October 16, 1963 in Ozona, Texas. Johnny married Kathy Vara on March 13, 1997 in Lamesa.
    Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Juan (Jay) Molina V; his mother, Lupe Valdez, and his father, Juan Molina III; his father-in-law, Thomas Vara; and his nephew, TJ Hernandez.
    Johnny worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, Lotto scratch-offs, Bingo, refurbishing furniture, and spending time with his grandchildren.
    Survivors include his wife, Kathy Molina of Lamesa; his sons, Justin Molina and daughter-in-law, Crystal Molina, of Lamesa, and Chico Molina and daughter-in-law, Jacobi Lopez, of Lamesa; his daughters, Destinie Rodriguez and son-in-law, Jesus Rodriguez, of Andrews, Texas, and Demetra Dawn Molina of Lubbock, Texas; 11 grandchildren; his brother, Tony Hernandez of Lamesa; his sister, Jenny Lopez of Lubbock; his mother-in-law, Elosia Vara of Lamesa; and numerous relatives and friends.
