Graveside service for Juan Cuellar, 75, of Lamesa will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2020 Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Gwen Aldridge officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home. Viewing will be limited to family and masks are required.
Juan passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas.
He was born March 20, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas to Pablo and Rosa (Aguirre) Cuellar. He worked as a farmer for many years and was a jack of many trades. He loved riding his tractor. He loved attending all sporting events that his grandchildren and great grandchildren played.
Juan is survived by his children, Dee Barrera and husband, Lee of Lamesa, Sandy Trevino and husband, Ruben of Lamesa, Linda Cuellar of Lubbock and Jana Settles and husband, Ron of San Antonio; step-children, Sabrina Arredondo and husband, Adam of Lamesa, Valena Garcia and Jacob Lugo of Midland and Pete Garcia, Jr. and Iris Cardoza of Lamesa; fiancée, Jovita Flores of Lamesa; sisters, Aurora Vela of Lamesa, Elena Cruz and husband, Juan of Big Spring and Alicia Reyna of Lubbock; brothers, Alfredo “Shorty” Cuellar of Lubbock and Pablo Cuellar, Jr. of Lubbock; grandchildren, Trey Barrera (Nicholette), Jon Marc Barrera (Jancee), Anthony Carden (Stephanie), Steven Carden (Kristen), Kaylee Trevino, Jarron Settles, Jacob Settles, A.J. Arredondo, Janissa Arredondo, Aarilyn Lugo, Pete Garcia III, Isela Garcia and Deandra Flores; and great grandchildren, Cayden Barrera, Christopher Barrera, Catileya P. Barrera, Kaidence Perez, Makhi Carden, Mila Sanchez and Brixleigh Carden.
Juan’s kind heart and love extended to many nieces and nephews. Juan was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Juan is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Luis Cuellar and Mario Cuellar; sisters, Angelica Lozano and Beatrice Reyna; and grandson, Christopher Barrera.
