    Funeral services for Josie Gonzales Sanchez, age 64, of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at La Primera Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Gamez to officiate.
    Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Face masks are required for the funeral home and church.
    Viewing and visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 and Monday, March 29, 2021 at Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Josie passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 in Lamesa. 
    She was born on August 21, 1956 in Lamesa. In the year 2005, Josie and Robert Hernandez joined together to start a new life with their families.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Fidencio and Alicia Gonzales; her daughter, Rebecca Jo Sanchez; and her brothers, Chito Gonzales, and Joe Gonzales.
    Josie enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing games on her phone, social media, Youtube, and creating custom jewelry. 
    Josie is survived by her husband, Robert Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; her sons, Eddie Sanchez and wife, Irma Sanchez of Lamesa, TX., and Nacho Sanchez and wife, Matilde Sanchez of Meadow, TX.; her daughters, Viviana Sanchez, and husband, Rudy Salinas, and Tina Sanchez, all of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Alfredo Gonzales of Levelland, TX.; her sisters, Martha Gonzales, and Inez Gonzales, both of Levelland, TX.; 16 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; several relatives and friends.
