Jose (Joe)  Gonzales

    A Catholic Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Jose (Joe) Gonzales age 64 of Lamesa, TX., at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic
Church with Fr. Sylvester Dsouza officiating. The burial committal will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of
Gonzales Funeral Home.
    The visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Gonzales Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7 p.m.
    Joe passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Lamesa, TX. He was born on February 20, 1960, in Lamesa, TX.
    Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and San Juana Gonzales; his son, Jose Gonzales; his brother, Jesus Morales; his sisters, Maria Elena Gonzales, and Rachel Marroquin.
    Joe was enjoying his retirement after working many years in the oilfields. He loved to see the beauty of a majestic Sunset, enjoyed smoking cigarettes, his dog Cookie, and especially time with his family.
    Joe is survived by his daughter, Jo Ann Mittal and son-in-law, Deepak Mittal of Lubbock, TX.; his grand-daughters, Lilliana Gonzales, Dee-Jay Mittal, Angel Macias and husband, Isai
Macias, all of Lubbock, TX., and Kasi Nguyen and husband, Patrick Nguyen of Norman, OK.; his grandson, Adrian Gonzales and wife, Kim of Lubbock, TX.; his great-grandson, Abel
Macias of Lubbock, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
    Honoring Joe as his pallbearers are Ruben Marroquin, Thomas Marroquin, Amador Marroquin, Margarito Trevino, Cale Marroquin, Ramiro Hernandez, Alfonso Hernandez.
