Jose Gallo

    A funeral mass will be celebrated for Jose Gallo, age 74, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. 
    The burial committal service will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
    Viewing will be held on Friday, May 27, 2019 with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Jose Gallo of Patricia, Texas, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Jose was born in Belen de Refugio, Jalisco, Mexico to Refugio and Virginia Gallo on September 8, 1943.
    Jose could accomplish anything he set his mind to. At a very early age, he acquired the knowledge of maintaining crops and raising livestock. His love for agriculture lead him to the fields of Patricia, Texas where he also found passion for welding and farmed for many years. When he was not working the fields he managed to construct many mental projects and would also tend to his oversized garden that could feed an entire village. He spent more than 50 years in Texas where he raised his beloved family.
    Jose is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria Gallo; son, Jose (Yolanda) Gallo Jr.; son, Jimmy (Martha) Gallo; son, Refugio (Claudia) Gallo; son, Urvano (Rosie) Gallo; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Gregorio Gallo; brother, Florencio Gallo; and numerous relatives and friends.
