John Dell Barron

    Funeral service for John Dell Barron, 77, of Lamesa will be held Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church with Dennis Adams officiating.
    Visitation will follow the service. 
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  
    Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery.
    John Dell passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas.  
    He was born on January 2, 1943 to Dell and Ellen (Roberts) Barron.   He was married to Lola Jackson for 17 years.  He was a farmer for many years.  He was working for Scarborough Drilling the last few years of his life.  He loved spending time with his family and was always concerned for everyone’s wellbeing.  
    John Dell is survived by his wife, Lola Jackson of Lamesa; children, Dana Bennett and husband, Joel of Lamesa, Delana Newbrough of Lamesa and Jaimie Proctor  and husband, Shaine of Lamesa; grandchildren, Kiley Bennett, Kalie Harrington and husband, Kyle, Cotton Newbrough, Gracen Proctor, Garrison Proctor and Gretchen Proctor; great grandchildren, Kensley Bennett and Lorelai Bennett; and special buddy Gavin Wimoth. 
    He was preceded in death by his parents.  
    Family suggests memorials to Dawson County Senior Citizens 611 N. Austin Ave., Lamesa, TX 79331.
