Jerry Wayne McNeely

    Jerry Wayne McNeely, 85, of New Home, Texas, passed from this life on November 5, 2021. 
    He was born May 21, 1936 to Bill and Ruby (Harston) McNeely in Tahoka. Jerry married Dorothy (Balch) on September 4, 1954. They were married for 51 years. 
    Jerry, who was lovingly called TaTaw by his grandchildren and great grandchildren, spent his life farming and raising livestock. He loved music, fishing, and attending the many activities of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Their accomplishments and involvement were a source of great pride for Jerry.  
    Those left with his memories are son, Stanley and wife, Sherry (White) McNeely of Crosbyton; daughter, Sheila (McNeely) Blakley of New Deal; his special friend, Joylene Roye; his brother W.H. McNeely; five grandchildren: Casey (Erika) McNeely, Wendy (Bob) Bumpus, Courtney (Caleb) Howard, Whitney (Matt) Dorsett, and Caul Blakley; eleven great-grandchildren: Cutter, Jaclyn, Scout, Radley, Jessye, Steelye, Rylie, Rein, Rody, Kye, and Grady; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He is proceeded in death by his mother, Ruby, and father, Bill; by his wife, Dorothy; and his brothers, Richard, Leslie, and Shorty.
    The family will receive visitors in his memory Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 5:00 PM at the New Home Community Center.
