Jerry Harper

    The family of Jerry Edward Harper celebrated his life of 87 years on September 11 at First Baptist Church Chapel in Lamesa, Texas.
    Jerry passed away September 7, 2021 in Lamesa.
    He was born in Rush Springs, Oklahoma on December 29, 1933 to Ray Ward and Beaulah Ester (O’Dell) Harper.  He attended O’Donnell High School.  He served in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years, from 1954 to 1976.
    Jerry married Nancy Ann Pierce in 1958.  Nancy preceded him in death in 1993.  Also preceding him in death is one daughter, Pam Spencer.
    He married Alice Sealy Cooper in 1993.  
    He is survived by 3 children, Jerry Ray Harper (Teena), Kathy McGuire (Mike), and Christina Harper.  He is also survived by four step-children, Judy Garcia (Richard), Roy Wayne Cooper (Sharla), Carmen Furlow (Mark), and Dan Cooper (Layne); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
