Jerry Goolsby

    Funeral service for Jerry Goolsby, 72, of Lamesa will be held Monday, February 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of Christ of Lamesa with Mark Hackett officiating. 
    Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery.
    Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Jerry passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Lubbock, Texas. 
    He was born August 3, 1947 in Lamesa, Texas to Laroy and Wanda (Davis) Goolsby. He married Wanda (Seaton) Goolsby on November 1, 1974 in Lamesa, Texas. They were married 45 years. He was part owner of B&J Welding Supply. 
    He loved spending time with his grandkids and attended all their activities. He enjoyed his McDonalds coffee time with his friends and going to garage sales.
    Jerry is survived by his wife, Wanda Goolsby of Lamesa; children, Cody Goolsby and wife, April, of Merkel and Shane Goolsby and wife, Erika, of Palestine; mother, Wanda L. Goolsby of Lamesa; sister, Nancy Kelley and husband, Jack of Lamesa; brother, Bobby Goolsby and wife, Carolyn, of Odessa; and grandchildren, Brence Goolsby, Chase Goolsby, Kolten Goolsby, Hayden Goolsby and Payten Goolsby; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    He is preceded in death by his father, and nephew, Russ Billingsley.
