Graveside services for Homer Chamberlain, 87, of Fort Worth, formerly of Lamesa. will be held Tuesday, March 24th, at 2:00 p.m. at O’Donnell Cemetery with Pastor Jim Medley officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Homer passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 in Fort Worth.
He was born May 2,1932 in Brownwood to William Homer and Norine (Stewart) Chamberlain. He married Maurice Simpson September 17, 1952 in Lamesa. They were married 65 years.
He loved playing golf while he lived in Lamesa. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by children, Jerry Chamberlain and wife, Patricia, of Fort Worth, Marilyn Nelson and husband, John, of Ardmore, OK, and Sandra Smith and husband, Mike, of Kilgore; brother Richard Gene Chamberlain; sister, Autry May Moore; sister, Bessie Blanton and Virginia Simpson of Saint Cloud, MN; grandchildren Jeremy Nelson, Mandy Cox, Reese Chamberlain, and Caitlin Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 6 brothers, Woodrow, Edgar, David, William, Jack, and Herbert; and granddaughter Tiffany Nelson.
