George Davis

    Graveside service for George Franklin Davis, 80, of Lamesa will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Charles Empey officiating. 
    Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    George passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 in Lamesa. 
    He was born May 3, 1939 in Erath County, Texas to Dan and Minnie (Little) Davis. He married Elaine Patterson January 20, 1962 in Welch, Texas. They were married 57 years. 
    He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. 
    George is survived by his wife, Elaine Davis of Lamesa; children, Sharla Lee of Lamesa, Gary Lane Davis of Seminole, Shayla Cates and husband, Michael of Lamesa, and Randee Parker of Meadow; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. 
    He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; four sisters; and son-in-law, Mike Lee.
