Gary Shook

    Funeral service for Gary Shook, 68, will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.at Dayspring Church with Pastor Danny Welch officiating. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
    Gary passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Lubbock TX surrounded by his family.  
    He was born February 20, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to R.L. “Jack” Shook and Virginia McIntire Shook.  He married Dorothy Flowers on December 29, 1973 in Lamesa TX, they were married 48 years. 
    Gary worked in the oil field industry for fifty years.  He enjoyed BBQ competition cookouts and  loved spending time with his grandchildren.
    Gary is survived his wife, Dorothy Shook of Lamesa; sons, Bryan Shook and wife, Melissa of Big Spring and Neal Shook and wife, Sarah of Mansfield; brothers, Jimmy Shook and wife, Brenda, Johnny Shook and wife, Patsy and Charley Shook and wife, Cookie all of Lamesa; and grandchildren, Brandon, Zachory, Ryan, Lance and Kyle. Gary is preceded in death by his parents.
