Funeral services for Garry Ray Miller, 68, of Lamesa, will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Lamesa with Pastor Kalith Brown officiating and Pastor Jim Medley assisting.
Interment will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Branon Funeral Home.
Garry passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 in Lubbock surrounded by his loved ones.
Garry was born on December 5, 1950 to Bobby Ray and Dorothy (Boyer) Miller in Brownfield, Texas. He married Debbie Howard on June 22, 1973 in Lamesa. They were married 45 years.
He loved to sing and was a music director for many small churches. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved telling stories. He is best known for his genuine smile and warm hugs. He was very dedicated to the Walk to Emmaus and Kairos Community. His last wish was to be a donor and to help others, which has already come true.
Garry is survived by his wife, Debbie Miller of Lamesa; daughter, Sarah Clement and husband, Kelly Wayne, of Lamesa; grandchildren, Rae’Lynn, Kutter, and Loghan, all of Lamesa; parents, Bobby Ray and Dorothy Miller of Lamesa; and sister, Ann Culp of Lamesa; brother, Guy Miller and wife, Tamra, of Lamesa; brother-in-law, Jerry Howard and wife, Teresa, of Plains; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by grandson, Gatlin Clement.
