Eva Echavarria
Funeral services for Eva Salazar (Nana) Echavarria, age 84, of Lamesa will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Primera Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Gamez officiating.
The burial committal service will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Eva passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 in Lamesa. She was born on July 20, 1934 Odem, Texas. Eva married Miguel Echavarria on December 20, 1959.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miguel Echavarria; her parents, Pedro and Reymunda Salazar; her brothers, Ray Salazar and Adam Salazar; and her sisters, Diamantina Munoz and Senaida Quintana.
Eva’s favorite things on earth included her gardening, her garage sale hunting, her lottery ticket scratch offs, her love of giving things away, her favorite football team “Dallas Cowboys,” and her listening to music and dancing.

Eva is survived by her sons, Raul Echavarrria, Sr., and Eli Echavarria, both of Lamesa; her daughters, Elena Bordayo of Slaton, Texas, Diana Sanchez of Lubbock, Texas, and Rebecca Echavarria of Lamesa, Texas; her sisters, Aurora Ybarra, and Gloria Vera, both of Lamesa, Texas, Elsa Cooper of Lockney, Texas, and Ernestina Hernandez of California; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchidren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers: Raul Echavarria, Jr., D’Angelo Echavarria, Annette Picon, Armando Salazar, Raymond Bordayo, Jason Bordayo, Annette Priscella Casarez, and Samuel Miguel Casarez.
