Elvira 'Vera' Galindo

    A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Elvira (Vera) R. Galindo age 72 of Kermit, TX. at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel, officiating.
    The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
    Viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home starting at 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2019 and with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Elvira passed away on Sunday December 22, 2019 in Andrews, TX. 
    She was born on September 16, 1947 in Lamesa. Elvira married Pete Galindo, Jr. on April 21, 1962 in Lamesa. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Elvira Rivera; her son, Eddie Galindo; her sisters, Josephina Lopez, Carolina Vasquez, Margie Perez, Lucia Moreno; her brother, Ruben Rivera.
    Elvira enjoyed gardening, loved plants, and had a passion for cooking favorite food dishes for her beloved family.  Wwe all loved her “Menudo.” She liked making and creating arts and crafts, and simply just loved taking care of her family all the time.
    Survivors includes, her husband, Pete Galindo, Jr. of Kermit, TX.; her daughters, Sylvia Escobedo of Seminole, TX., Sarah Navarro of Kermit, TX., Sandra Galindo of Seminole, TX.; her sisters, Beatrice Garza, Eloisa Perez, Maria Perez, Lupe Rodriguez, all of Lamesa, TX.; her brother, Juan Rivera of Lamesa; 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
