Edna Louise Mize     

    Graveside service for Edna Louise Mize, 83, of Lamesa will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Pastor Keith Clower officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Edna passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024. She was born on July 22, 1941, in Couschatta, Louisiana to Isaac Swafford and  Adaline Pounds Swafford.
    Edna lived in Lamesa, TX the majority of her life and was well known by many. She was a waitress for over 30 years in Lamesa and worked between the Green Hut and Allen’s Galley. She had many regular customers that became lifelong friends. She was an avid lover of dachshunds and her most recently passed dachshund Honey.
    She loved fishing and spending quality time with her family and was known as “Granny” and “Nanna”.
    Edna is survived by her daughter, Lisa Jarrett; granddaughters, Jacklyn and Ricky Taylor and Tiffany and Brandon Clark; great grandkids, Tristan, James, Brooklyn, Addison, Jameson, Colter; sister, Francis Clark; Aunt Dora Tapley, and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ty Cobb; and sister, Ann Norwood.
