Eddie Rodriguez

     A Catholic funeral mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Eddie Contreras Rodriguez, age 53, of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. 
    Viewing will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Eddie passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in Lubbock, TX. 
    He was born, October 11, 1969 in Tulia, TX.
    Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, John and Flora Rodriguez; his father, Miguel Contreras; his sister, Senida Mejia; his niece, Krystle Rodriguez.
    Eddie enjoyed Martial Arts, big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, going fishing.  No matter what, Eddie always had a smile on his face.
    Eddie is survived by his family: his mother, Erminia Escareno of Lubbock, TX.; his siblings, brothers, Ricardo Contreras, and Fabian Contreras, both of Lubbock, TX., sister, Rosita Servatius of Lubbock, TX., brothers, Juan Contreras (Ester), Lupe Contreras, Mario Contreras (Diana), all of Lubbock, TX., sisters, Mary Rodriguez of Lamesa, TX., Margaret Rodriguez of Lubbock, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
    Honoring Eddie as his pallbearers are, Terry Contreras, Mario Contreras, Timothy Servatius, Phillip Contreras, Zachary Contreras, Riley Martinez.
