Dorothy Jean Miller
Graveside services for Dorothy Jean Miller, age 87 of Lamesa, Texas will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dawson County Cemetery in Lamesa, with Pastor Vance Thomas officiating.
All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mrs. Miller was born December 21, 1934 in Brownfield, Texas to Zettie (Coor) and George Boyer. She married Bobby Miller in Welch, Texas on June 16, 1950.
She was a lifelong member of the Welch Baptist Church where she played the piano for over 40 years and taught Sunday school for many years. Dorothy was very strong in her Christian faith, and was blessed to see all of her grandchildren, except three of her youngest great-grandchildren, come to know the Lord.
Dorothy and her husband ran Tri-Plex Weed Control for over 30 years, where they worked side by side. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and cooking; you never left her house hungry.
Dorothy Miller passed away at her home in Lamesa on Friday, November 25, 2022.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Boyer, and one son, Garry Ray Miller, one great-grandson, Gatlin Clement.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Miller of Lamesa; one son, Guy Miller and wife Tamra of Lamesa, Texas; one daughter, Evelyn Ann Culp of Lamesa, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Miller of Welch, Texas; five grandchildren, Sharla Robertson and husband Justin, Tanner Miller and wife Maddison, Sterling Miller and wife Shelley, Sarah Clement and husband Kelly Wayne, and Kylia Marshall and husband Andrew; and twelve great-grandchildren, Boss Robertson, Reiner Miller, Tatum Miller, Guy Miller, Gage Miller, Carter Miller, Jet Miller, Rae’Lynne Clement, Kutter Clement, Loghan Clement, Ian Marshall, and Lily Marshall.
