Daysia Dupree Demerson

    Daysia Dupree Demerson, 26, of Fayetteville, Ark., and formerly of Lamesa, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020.
    Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 18, 2020, at 1 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, Lamesa, TX, with Pastor Jermaine Cleveland officiating. 
    Interment will follow at Lamesa Cemetery, Lamesa, TX. under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. 
    Daysia was born on November 30, 1993, to Datra Hardaway in Lamesa, TX. She attended and graduated from Lamesa High School and then became a correctional officer. 
    Daysia is survived by her mother, Datra Hardaway; grandmother, Arnita Demerson both of Lamesa, TX; sister, Arnita Hardaway Calloway of Odessa, TX; two aunts, Nelda Robinson of Ft. Worth, TX; and Lorita Rowlett of Alexandria, Virginia; four uncles, Cliff Coker of Lamesa, TX; Chris Demerson of Lubbock, TX; Bernard Williams of Lamesa, TX; and Broderick Williams of Denver City, TX; a host of other relatives and friends
