Catholic funeral graveside services for David Salinas, age 69, of Lamesa, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Dawson County Cemetery with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home. Due to area Covid-19 situations we continue with public safety. For the safety of the family and our community, face masks are required at the funeral home and cemetery along with social distancing.
Visitation and viewing will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service staring at 7:00 p.m., with Gonzales Funeral Home Facebook Live Streaming. Viewing and visitation on Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., following with a funeral procession to the cemetery.
David passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Lubbock, TX.
He was born on February 6, 1951 in Sebastian, TX. David married Margarita Aguilar on May 16, 1971 in Lamesa, TX.
He was preceded in death his parents, Jesus and Teresa Salinas; his brothers, Juanio Salinas, Jose Salinas, and Jessie Salinas.
David was a beloved husband, an amazing father, and Papo. He was the owner and operator of Salinas Implement for 40 years, along with his son, John. In his line of work he spent a great deal of time traveling for business prosperity. He was well known by many people. David was very devoted to his family and business. He was a very kind hearted and generous man. He was always willing to go the extra mile to help anyone in need.
David is survived by his wife, Margarita Salinas of Lamesa, TX.; his son, John Salinas of Lamesa, TX.; his daughter, Julie Rivas of Lamesa, TX.; his grandsons, Devan Rivas, John David Salinas, and Damian Salinas, all of Lamesa, TX.; his grand-daughter, Bella Hernandez of Lamesa, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
