Dana Peach

A celebration of life for Dana Kay Peach, 59, of Lamesa will be held at 1 p.m. on April 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church of O’Donnell.
Dana passed away on April 1, 2023.
Dana was born on August the 10th of 1963 to Bobby Peach and Donesse Grantham in Roswell New Mexico. She graduated class of 1981 from Maconaquah High School in Bunker Hill Indiana. “Mooner 1” ran track and loved to learn, graduating with many honors. She went on to graduate class of 2009 from Howard College in Big Springs Texas with her nursing license while maintaining Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society as well as many other accommodations and accreditations.
She was a huge education supporter and often pushed everyone she knew to “Be all that they could be. The sky was the limit.” She spent her nursing career working with people she loved as well as helping as many people she could. She worked in various medical fields from West Texas to New Mexico.
She loved to cook for her family. Her Moussaka even she agreed was not cook book quality and she had to end up feeding everyone McDonalds instead. Spending her days with her life partner/best friend, her grandkids and her kids were the best of her days right along with the occasional Motel “Mini Vacation.”
Dana was survived in life by Partner, Christy Todd of Lamesa Texas; mother Donesse Grantham of Slaton Texas; beloved aunt Burnitta “Nita” McClung of Roswell New Mexico; siblings, Tony Peach of Peru, Indiana and sister Nikki Robinson of Slaton Texas; the stars of the show, her four legged babies “Chi” Cheech Cheecharoni Peach and Pumper T-Rex of Lamesa; children, daughter Christian and Michael Clarke of Lubbock Texas, daughter Trinity Batchelor and Todd Cox of O’Donnell Texas, son “Baby Boy” Richard Batchelor of Lamesa Texas;  grandchildren, Sam, Ashton, Luke, Ambri, Jace, Brian, Briley, Aria and Kynzlee; great-grandchildren, Mari and Angel; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dana was preceded in death by father Bobby Peach; beloved uncle Danny McClung; grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Dana continued to help people after her death, donating her body to Texas Tech Health Science Center to continue the education of young medical students.
