    Funeral Services for Cruz Santos Torres “Teddy Bear” age 58 of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the La Trinidad Methodist Church with Pastor Jessie Pena officiating. Internment will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    The viewing will be held at Gonzales Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Monday, August 26, 2024.
    Cruz passed away at his home in Lamesa, TX. on Friday, August 23, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1965, in Denver City, TX. Cruz married Rosie Baeza on May 16, 2022, in Lamesa, TX.
Cruz was preceded in death by his mother, Angie Torres, his brother, Aaron Torres.
Cruz enjoyed riding his motorcycle, music, and playing his bass guitar. He drove 18-
wheelers for 40 years. Cruz loved horses and enjoyed all his family time and vacations together.
    Cruz is survived by his wife, Rosie Torres of Lamesa, TX.; his father, Pete Torres, Jr. (Mary Torres) of Lamesa, TX.; his children, daughters, Skye Torres-Ybarra (Albert Ybarra) of Lamesa, TX., and Samantha DeLaFuente (Adrian DeLaFuente) of Grapevine, TX., and his son, Jeremiah Torres (Myka Villalobos) of Lubbock, TX.; his
stepson, Jose Valenzuela of Lamesa, TX., and his stepdaughter, Anik Valenzuela of Lamesa, TX.; his siblings, Pete Torres III (Toni Torres) of Midland, TX., Dalma
Rodriguez (Javier Rodriguez) of Snyder, TX., and Griselda Lozada (Wes Lozada) of Virginia Beach, VA; 6 grandchildren; numerous relatives and friends.
