Chapel service for Consuelo Guerra, 84, of Lamesa will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Ray Amaya officiating. A burial will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction and care of Branon Funeral Home. Viewing will begin Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, March 18, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
Consuelo passed away March 13, 2024, in Lubbock. She was born January 19, 1940, in Manuel Benevides, Estado de Chihuahua, Mexico.
She married Cayetano Guerra in 1965 in Ojinaga, Mexico. They were married 32 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, feeding the birds and loved to shop. Her family gave her so much joy and will be greatly missed by everyone. Consuelo was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lamesa.
Consuelo is survived by her children, Ninfa G. Anderson of Odessa, Alberto Guerra of Midland, and Rodolfo Guerra of Lamesa; grandchildren, Kelsi Webb, Erin Anderson, Jessica Guerra and Rudy Caye Guerra; great grandchild, Bryson Daughenbaugh; and six sisters, Irene Campos of Midland, Dora Gonzales of Liberal, Kansas, Marcela Espinosa of Plano, Bertha Suchil of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Rafaela Alvarez of Presidio, and Celia Alvarez
of Presidio; and five brothers, Alberto Marquez of Presidio, Angel Marquez of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Jorge Marquez of Odessa, Francisco Marquez, Jr. of Odessa, and Nieves Marquez of Odessa.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Manuela Marquez; husband, Cayetano Guerra; grandson, Christopher Guerra; and brothers, Isidro Marquez and Alfredo Marquez.
