Carlos Lozano, Jr.
Funeral service will be celebrated for Carlos N. Lozano Jr., age 77, of Lamesa, Texas at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2022 at Branon Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeremiah Aguayo officiating.
Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery under the care and direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, and Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Branon Funeral Home Chapel.
Carlos passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 8, 1944, in Sonora, Texas to Carlos Lozano Sr and Consuelo (Noriega) Lozano. Carlos married Mercedes Garcia on August 25, 1965, in Lamesa. They were married 49 years.
His passion was welding and he worked as a farmer for many years. He loved spending time with his beloved family, riding in his car around town and loved drinking his cokes. His favorite sayings were “That’s how the ball bounces” and “You can fix what was broke but you can’t fix dumb.”
Carlos is survived by his children, daughters, Brenda Lopez, Joann Gonzales and Emiliano Gonzales Jr., Kathy Tagle and Felix Tagle all of Lamesa, Texas, Maisie Hill of Irving, Texas, Sandra Lozano of Lamesa, Texas; his one and only son, Ben Lozano of Lamesa, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Elsa Lozano, Linda Lozano, Alma Brazee, Joe Lozano, Homer Lozano and Sandy Espinosa.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, wife; great grandson, Ethan Tyler; brothers, Israel Lozano and Reynaldo Lozano.
Pallbearers honoring him are Emiliano Gonzales III, Lupe Gonzales, Jordan Hill, John Lopez, Kayla Lozano, Marisa Salazar, Dafany Lozano, and Maddie Rocha. Honorary pallbearers are Felix Tagle, Fred Castillo, Keegan Lozano, Donovan Morales ,Sorriah Fernandez and Jaelyn Medrano.
