Buster Taylor Jr.

    Buster Taylor Jr., 90, of Gail,TX, died on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at his home in Gail. 
    A Funeral Service for Buster Taylor will be held on Monday, October 10, 2022, at 2:00 PM  at the Borden County ISD Auditorium with Pastor Randy Hardman officiating. Interment will follow at Gail Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
    Buster Taylor Jr. was born on May 2, 1932, in Georgetown, TX to RD and Earlene (Aldridge) Taylor Sr. He married Jean Creighton on  July 6, 1951, in Yuma, AZ. He served proudly in the US Navy from 1951-1954 as a Seaman 3rd Class.
    Joining the Borden County community in 1954, Buster wore many hats and served in many positions over the years. He was the Borden County Fire Chief for a time and then served as the Borden County Deputy Sherriff and Foreman with the Texas State Highway Department for 25 years. He was also named the Borden County Constable for 14 years. Buster helped organize the Borden County EMS. He was a proud member of the Church of Christ.
    He had a love for the fiddle and bluegrass music. He will be remembered for playing pranks and squeezing every enjoyable moment out of life; creating laughter for all those around him, being a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.
    He is survived by 5 Children, Darrell Taylor, Shiro, TX, Melisa Hancock (his favorite daughter) and husband Joe, Gail, TX, Creighton Taylor and wife Susan, Amarillo, TX, Benny Taylor and wife Angie, Borden County, TX, Tim Taylor and wife Anita, Howard County, TX; 8 Grandchildren, Jay Taylor and wife Michele,
Ryan Taylor and wife Heather, Blaze Taylor and wife Macalee, Cayden Vaughn and wife Jacy, Rusty Taylor, Austyn Taylor, Bella Taylor, Heather Heigert and husband Michael; and 11 Great Grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by his Parents, RD Taylor Sr. and Earlene Taylor; Wife, Jean Taylor; 1 brother, Denver  Taylor; and his Daughter-In-Law, Cindy Taylor.
    A Visitation will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022  from 6 PM to 7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.
    Donations in Buster’s name can be made to the Borden County EMS or to your favorite Veteran Organization.
