Betty Hooper

    Funeral service for Betty Faye Hooper, 83, of Lamesa will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Crestview Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Clower officiating. Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Visitation will be held at Branon Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 21,2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    Betty passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021, surrounded by her family in Lamesa. 
    She was born February 14,1938 to Jake and Carolyn Lee (Harrison) Drury in Pharr, TX. She married W.A. Hooper on August 27, 1956.
Betty loved reading romance novels, working on puzzle books and puzzles but most of all she loved her candy.
    Betty is survived by her children, Michael Hooper and wife Mary Ann of Monahans, Stephen Hooper of Lamesa, Patrick Hooper of Roby, and Ruby Rowe and husband Jim of Lamesa; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. 
    She was preceded in death by her husband W.A. Hooper; daughter, Diana Leigh Deasy; son, Bodie Hooper, and daughter-in-law, Yvette Hooper.
