Barbara Nell Daniels

    Funeral services for Barbara Nell Daniels, 82, of Lamesa, will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Crestview Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Clower officiating. A burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held September 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Barbara passed away September 13, 2023, in Lamesa, Texas. She was born December 8, 1940, in Lamesa, Texas to James D. and Clotile (Thomas) Phillips. 
    Barbara loved her LORD and was very active in her church. She practically knew everyone and never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clotile Phillips; husband, Verner Eugene “Gene” Daniels; son, James Eugene Daniels; two brothers, Jimmy Phillips and Marvin Phillips; and, her sister Betty Curtis.
    Barbara is survived by her daughter, Martha Whittet of Lamesa, and, her sister Linda Stafford and husband Jimmy of Lamesa; many nieces and nephews.
    In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Crestview Baptist Church, 610 N. Ave. V, Lamesa, Texas 79331.
