Arnulfo Salazar

    A Catholic Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Arnulfo Salazar, age 73 of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Chacko officiating. The burial will follow at the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the trusted care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    The viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Arnulfo passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Lamesa, TX. He was born March 25, 1951, in Frontera, Coahuila, Mexico. Arnulfo married Juanita Valle in 1979 in Lamesa, TX.
    Arnulfo was preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo and Esther Salazar; brothers, Hector Salazar, and Hilario Salazar.
    Arnulfo was a mechanic, enjoyed buying and selling cars, worked in the oilfields, and loved his Dallas Cowboys
    Arnulfo is survived by his wife, Juanita Salazar of Lamesa, TX.; her children, Isaac Salazar, Gilbert Ybanez, Janie Guzman, and Eric Ybanez, all of Lamesa, TX.; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, San Juana Salazar, Susana Salazar, Marcela Salazar, and Janet Salazar, all of Frontera, Coahuila, Mexico; sisters, Marcela Salazar, Janet , both of Frontera Coahuila, Mexico; and numerous relatives and friends.
