Angela Nix

    Graveside services for Angela Vivian Nix, 75, of Plano Tx will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Scott Pool officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.  
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. 
    Angela passed away peacefully December 4, 2022, in Allen, TX surrounded by family.  
    She was born February 22, 1947, in Pampa, Texas to L.G. Airhart and Yvonne (Hext) Airhart.  Angela was an active member of the First United Methodist Church while living in Lamesa. 
    She graduated from Happy High School in 1965.  During college, she married Kent Nix in 1968.  Angela taught school in Houston and Lamesa until her retirement when she helped on the family cotton farm.  Angela loved snow skiing, cooking, traveling, and taking care of family members.  She was instrumental in setting up the first children’s library at FUMC Lamesa.
    Angela is survived by her husband Kent Nix; daughter Roque Christensen and husband Dan of Plano; sister, Alicia Pool and husband Scott of Stephenville; sisters-in-law Connie Culp of Howe and husband Ned, and Betty McDonnell and husband Wayne of Houston.
