Amelia Rodrigues

    Funeral services for Amelia Rodrigues, 68, of Lamesa will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at River of Life Church with Pastor Mike Barkowsky officiating. A burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Branon Funeral Home. A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
    Amelia passed away February 10, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born December 18, 1955, to Eloy and Eloisa (Gomez) Martinez. She married Richard Rodrigues on June 1, 1974, in Lamesa. They were married 41 years.
    Amelia worked for Medical Arts Hospital in the medical records department for 20 years and retired in 2022. She enjoyed working in her yard, watching her favorite television shows, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild.
    Amelia is survived by her sons, Kevin Rodrigues and wife, Sarah and Keith Rodrigues of Lamesa; grandchildren, Sesilia, Kevin and Kolin Rodrigues and great grandchild, Harzel Rodrigues all of Lamesa; sister, Virginia Torres; and brothers, Fred Martinez, Paul Martinez, Manuel Martinez, and Joe Lewis Martinez. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; and brothers, Eloy Martinez, Johnny Martinez, and Tony Martinez.
