Ameena Sonday Jimerson

    Funeral services in remembrance of Ameena Sonday Jimerson, age 3, of Lamesa, TX. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with her grandfather, Pastor Juan Vasquez officiating. 
    Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral service arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.  
    Viewing will be held at Gonzales Funereal Home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with Inspirational services starting at 7:00 p.m., on both nights. 
    Ameena passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Lubbock, TX. She was born on May 31, 2018 in Odessa, TX.
    She was preceded in death by her uncles, Joe Vasquez, Jr., Anthony Guillen, and Ramon Guillen; great-great-grandparents, Aurelio and Lucia Rodriquez, and Felipe and Juanita Vasquez; her great uncle, Curtis Hawkins; her cousins, Azaley Wallace, and Aranda Abrams. 
    Ameena enjoyed being with her family, and listening to her Dad sing to her. She loved for her Mom to lay in bed with her, and most of all, she loved all her unicorns stuffed animals. 
    Those left to cherish her memory are her parents, Amanda Renee Gomez and Abel Sondray Jimerson of Lamesa, TX.; her brothers, Abel Sondray Jimerson II, and Anthony Drayson Jimerson, both of Lamesa, TX.; her sister, Alaia Azaley Jimerson of Lamesa, TX.; her grandfather, Abel Sonny Vasquez of Lamesa, TX., her grandmothers and step-grandfathers, Laquita Jimerson and Kevin Gibbs of Lamesa, TX., and Guadalupe Guillen Alford and Tony Alford of Odessa, TX.; numerous relatives and friends.
