Memorial service for Alfredo H. Martinez, 72, of New Moore, will be held Friday, October 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Upon his wishes to be cremated, no burial will be conducted.
Viewing will begin Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, October 15, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. til 1:30 p.m at Branon Funeral Home.
Alfredo passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, in Tahoka, Texas.
He was born January 16, 1949 in Welch, Texas to Domingo T. and Pasquala (Hernandez) Martinez. He married Eve Solis February 14, 1966, in Seguin, Texas. They were married 56 years.
He was a self-employed farmer in New Moore, Texas growing cotton and peanuts until his retirement in 2015. He also hauled cotton burrs for Woolam Gin for 28 years. He enjoyed traveling with his wife either to Ruidoso or Hobbs for a quick weekend getaway. Most of all he loved spending time with all his family.
Alfredo is survived by his wife, Eve Martinez of Brownfield; children, Scott Martinez of O’Donnell, Stacy Martinez of Brownfield, and Justin Freddy Martinez of New Moore; daughter-in-law, Amanda Pesina of Brownfield; grandchildren, Austin Martinez, Ace Martinez , and Aizly Longoria, all of Brownfield; brother, Bonifacio Martinez of Lamesa; and sisters, Barbara Sandoval, Mary Martinez, Gloria Gomez and husband, Jesse, and Connie Garza and husband, George, all of Lamesa, Yvonne Alvarado and husband, Richard of Abilene, and Olga Zapata and husband, Israel of Roma.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Jay Martinez.
