Pamela Jan Eiland Marwit
Pamela Jan Eiland Marwitz died on December 13, 2023, at home with her children at her bedside. She was born to parents George and Velma Eiland on August 17,1946 in Lamesa, Texas. She attended Lamesa High School. Jan moved to Seminole, Texas and started her real estate career with Bess Curry Real Estate. Jan then moved to Marble Falls, Texas where she continued selling real estate with Century 21. Jan then moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1982 and lived the rest of her life in different areas of Atlanta. Jan worked for First Financial Management Corporation until she retired in 1998.
Jan has three loving children, Tandi Huddle Weiss of Lagrange, Georgia, Jon Cayton of Port Aransas, Texas, and Steven Cayton (Bobby) of Atlanta, Georgia. She has four grandchildren who she adored: Eric Weiss (Amy) of Columbus, Georgia, Austin Weiss (Brittany) of Lagrange, Georgia, Laci Weiss (fiancé Jake) of Atlanta, Georgia and Hunter Cayton-Tran of Atlanta, Georgia and two great-grandchildren, Lucy and Will Weiss of Columbus, Georgia. Jan has one brother, Randy Eiland (Cindy) of Salem, Alabama and Phyllis Hill of Ft. Worth, Texas along with many nieces and nephews. Jan also has many Eiland, Grammer, Crawley, and Palmore cousins whom she loved very much.
Jan was preceded in death by her mother and father. The family would like to express their gratitude to Westhill Assisted Living in Newnan, Ga for the care they provided to mom the past couple of years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Graveside service will be held Monday, December 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Dawson County Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
