Golden Tor senior Hector Zamora and members of the Lamesa High School powerlifting team aren’t wasting any time flexing their muscles.The Tornadoes opened their 2025 high school powerlifting season last weekend at Brownfield. Lamesa Coaches Collin Justiss and Noe Gonzales came home fairly encouraged with their athletes’ strong start.Displaying the same competitive edge which helped make him an all-district linebacker on the Tors’ first district championship football team in 20 years, Zamora’s strength and determination helped him win the 220-pound class at Brownfield.
