4-H volunteers keep exhibitors fed

It’s early in the morning and a lot of hours before the Dawson County Junior Livestock Show kicked off Thursday afternoon.While students were grooming their animals in preparation for the big show, adults were behind the concession stand.They were there to feed the hungry and snackers while raising funds for the Dawson County 4-H Club.At least 20 of them donated their time to be there with Frito pies, chips, nachos and sodas for the two days of judging that started Thursday after and continued today.“It use to be a lot more but it’s smaller this year, so we prepare for ...
