Dawson County commissioners made it official when they appointed Pct. 4 Commissioner Russell Cox as the new judge pro tem.The judge pro tem steps in to head commissioners’ twice monthly regular meetings if the county judge is unable to attend.Cox took charge of the meeting Tuesday since County Judge Foy O’Brien was in Austin attending the Texas Juvenile Justice Department advisory council meeting.
